Hollywood actor Tom Cruise has commented on Barbenheimmer, the highly anticipated theatrical showdown on July 21 between Greta Gerwig’s version of Barbie featuring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling and Christopher Nolan’s historical drama Oppenheimer. It’s interesting to note that Cruise’s own movie, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, opens in theaters on July 12 instead of the usual July 19.

On Wednesday, Cruise sent a message on Instagram endorsing the impending “double feature” of Oppenheimer and Barbie on July 21. He stood alongside Christopher McQuarrie, the director of Mission: Impossible, holding tickets, in front of the posters for both movies.
He wrote in the caption, “I love a double feature, and it doesn’t get more explosive (or more pink) than one with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie.”
Cruise also sent a shout-out to the recently released Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, starring Harrison Ford, in the same Instagram post.
He wrote, “Congratulations, Harrison Ford, on 40 years of Indiana Jones and creating one of the most iconic characters in cinema history.”
