There has been much discussion about how She-Hulk: Attorney At Law connects to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the Disney+ launch of the series approaches. Comic book readers allegedly came across a connection to the Ghost Rider character Johnny Blaze, whose last name is pretty obvious.
It turns out that the character’s name is Donny Blaze, and actor Rhys Coiro will portray him. Deadline questioned him about his role during the show’s red carpet premiere, but he didn’t divulge too much.
“He’s a very powerful and fantastic individual and he’s amazing and wonderful in every way and he just lives to amaze and entertain,” he said.
His wife Kat Coiro, a director on the program, interrupted and said that Kevin Feige was the only person who could provide more information about the Ghost Rider possibly making an appearance.
Jessica Gao, the show’s executive producer, clarified a key point about the character about whom fans had been inquiring.
According to Gao, Donny Blaze “is just a magician who picked a stage name that he felt would generate a lot of attention.” Gao played down the idea that Donny Blaze was a fresh iteration of Ghost Rider. Donny Blaze is a “huge character in his episode, but he is not Ghost Rider,” the executive producer concluded.
