The upcoming sequel to New Line’s live-action Mortal Kombat movie is generating buzz among fans, as several cast members have been officially confirmed for the film. Mortal Kombat 2, directed by Simon McQuoid, promises to deliver a strong presence from Outworld and Netherrealm, featuring iconic characters such as Shao Kahn, Jerrod, Sindel, and Quan Chi. Deadline reports that Martyn Ford, standing at an imposing six-foot-eight inches, has been chosen to play Shao Kahn. Known for his debut role in Boyka: Undisputed, where he portrayed the formidable antagonist Koshmar, Ford’s muscular physique and commanding presence make him a fitting choice for the role. With appearances in Kingsman: The Golden Circle and F9: The Fast Saga, Ford brings both acting talent and physicality to his portrayal of Shao Kahn.
