After fighting side by side with the rest of the Avengers for countless movies and experiencing life-changing events following Thanos’ snap, the best archer of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Hawkeye, finally got his long-awaited and well deserved stand-alone series.
According to Anthony Mackie, the first rule of Marvel is that you don’t talk about Marvel. That may have been one of the first lessons that Marvel movie veteran Jeremy Renner gave to co-star Hailee Steinfeld. The two have been working hard on the set of the new Hawkeye series that is looking to build on the recent Marvel series successes.
She wasn’t even able to tell close friends that she was part of a Marvel project. When she was able to finally speak about it, she mentioned it felt so good to finally be able to talk about it.
While Steinfeld may only just be making her MCU debut, Kate has a storied comic book history – which includes taking up the Hawkeye mantle, and joining the Young Avengers.
Renner, who has been an MCU mainstay since his first appearance in 2011’s Thor, was similarly reserved on whether we’ll be seeing him again after Hawkeye.
We’ll have to wait and see if Clint and Kate will make a reappearance once all six episodes of Hawkeye have landed on Disney Plus, starting with a double season premiere starting today.
Hawkeye is also confirmed to include Florence Pugh’s Yelena Bolova, who debuted in this year’s Black Widow movie,And if all that wasn’t enough, rumors are abounding that the show will also feature the return of none other than Kingpin, reprising the role of his character from the Netflix series Daredevil.
