Sebastian Stan (a.k.a. Bucky Barnes) has been keeping himself occupied while in quarantine. In a recent interview with Muscle & Fitness, Stan revealed how he’s been passing the time in quarantine, and reaffirmed the importance of social distancing.
“I have stairs where I am, which is good,” he said. “So I run up and down my staircase like 20 times a day. And then it’s a lot of pushups and planks, you know? I have two kettlebells, so that’s kinda good … [for] press ups and swings. I mean, I’m just trying to keep active.”
In addition to improvising home workouts, the former Men’s Health cover star is also, like so many of us, expanding his culinary repertoire. “I’m cooking stuff for the first time ever,” the ‘Winter Soldier’ continued. “Like I have a bunch of chicken breasts I’m going to basically grill in a pan later with olive oil and then some mustard and it’s going to be what it is.
He went on to express his frustration with the individuals who are defying social distancing and still getting together in the middle of the pandemic. “What makes me insane is seeing the beaches in fucking Miami, these fucking idiots and … it really makes me insane because that’s actually the problem right there,” he said. “Some of the people that are out there really battling this thing in the hospitals and on the streets and you have to be grateful for that and just do it for them.”
Like all of us, he’s just trying to stay sane and do his best to practice self-care while self-isolating. “My therapist said, ‘Hey, you know, keep doing normal shit—you know, like get dressed.’ I mean, I didn’t today, but you know the sort of things that you would do regularly. But yeah, you do need a routine, right? I mean, there are ways to do it. I’ll give you a hard one, like taking like an hour off of your phone.”
Although sometimes, the boredom does get to him. And there’s no bigger mood than that right now.”I definitely danced [in my apartment] by myself. I mean, it’s happening,” he said. “I’m like, people watching from across the street. I don’t care anymore at this point.” Sebastian Stan
