The actress spoke up about engagement rumors with Tom Holland after posting a photo on social media.
Zendaya used Instagram to reply to the rumors of her engagement which arose after she posted a picture of her wearing a huge ring on her ring finger. On September 21, the Euphoria star shared a video message to clear confusion in her fans.
I can’t post anything, you guys,
Zendaya could be seen rolling her eyes and giggling in the video.
I posted it for my hat… Like, not for the ring on my right finger, you guys. Seriously, you think that’s how I would drop the deuce? Like, what?!
Amid the mess up, Zendaya chose to repost the original full-body image, possibly to dissolve the rumors.
In her caption, she goofily wrote,
Let me just put the full body back so y’all can relax lmao.
Zendaya wore a Golden State Warriors hat and a sizable ring, giving in to rumors that her boyfriend, Tom Holland, had proposed. On observing closely, it was seen that the referred ring was a pearl one, not an engagement ring.
Although not engaged, Zendaya and Holland‘s relationship is blossoming. Just recently, Holland celebrated her girl by posting her. In the first photo, Zendaya was wearing scuba diving gear, including a mask, looking at the camera with a thumbs-up while sitting on a boat.
My birthday girl,
Holland captioned the picture adding a heart-eyed emoji.
Holland, 27 also posted a click of Zendaya walking two dogs through the woods. He added three heart-eyed emojis alongside the picture.
The couple united in July 2021 and have huge plans for the future together.
Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of and we want to keep as sacred as possible,
Holland said in an interview in June.
We don’t think that we owe it to anyone, it’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers.
Zendaya resonated these statements in September, saying,
Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public. I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share.
It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist,
she added.
You can’t hide. That’s not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now.
