Madonna, the Queen of Pop, is making a comeback after a hospitalization in June due to a serious bacterial infection. She’s now preparing for her Celebration Tour, which is described as her “most ambitious tour ever”. Madonna has resumed rehearsals with her longtime collaborators, Jamie King and Stuart Price, and is feeling strong and excited to be back on stage. Prior to returning to work, she enjoyed a vacation in Lisbon on her birthday with loved ones, but now she’s happy to be back in her environment.
Madonna‘s tour will commence next month, beginning with four sold-out performances at London’s O2 Arena. The tour will then take her to various European cities, including Copenhagen, Barcelona, Paris, and Milan. Towards the end of 2023, she will embark on the North American leg of her tour, starting with three shows at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and two in Washington, with more performances planned for 2024.
Madonna, who celebrated her 65th birthday on August 16, is the mother of six children, 26-year-old Lourdes Leon, 23-year-old Rocco Ritchie, 17-year-old David Banda, 16-year-old Mercy James, and 11-year-old twins Stella and Estere. In honor of her birthday, she posted a compilation of video clips from her time in Lisbon, set to her hit song, Vogue.
It’s great to be Alive … and Amazing to Be able to put on my dancing shoes and Celebrate my Birthday! I’m So Grateful. Thank you Lisbon and to all who made it possible!
she wrote on her instagram.
Madonna initially unveiled her Celebration Tour plans in January, revealing that the concerts would serve as a tribute to her 40-year career milestone and pay homage to New York, the city where she originally rose to stardom.
I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,
she quoted at a press release, then.
