Marvel fans know Zazie Beetz as the perpetually lucky superhero Domino. She was introduced in the MCU through Deadpool 2 and immediately became a memorable part of the franchise.
But unlucky for the fans, the actor has said she will not be reprising the role in Deadpool 3, the next installment in the franchise. Instead, the actor is starring in an episode of the sci-fi series Black Mirror, set in a dystopian era where technology blurs the lines between imagination and reality.
Zazie Beetz has her sights set on a DC character this time and has shared that she would love to play Catwoman one day. An antihero in the DC universe, Catwoman is a crime-fighting superhero in Gotham city with the most recent adaptation being Zoe Kravitz in the 2021 film The Batman.
Beetz herself has acknowledged that there have been several unforgettable reboots of the role, it is unlikely that another actress will be playing the character in the near future.
Moreover, with her existing background in playing superheroes, the actress herself says she can’t be in too many of those movies to avoid being typecast. But at the end of the day, she feels like a cat at heart.

However, she does already play a role in the DC universe as Arthur Fleck’s (Joker) neighbor in the Jaoquin Phoenix adaptation of the character and is all set to reprise the role in the sequel as well and will be the next chapter in the origin story for the joker.
So while playing Catwoman does not seem to be in the cards for Beetz, as we all know from her exploits in Deadpool 2, she’s pretty lucky.
